This is a REALLY long shot. In Feb 2017, I streamed and made a tutorial video using a map that I can't find. I've gone over the map catalog over and over and just can't find it. This is a gorgeous map that I'd love to replay. I'm hoping the map experts here might have a clue.

Hachinohe Lends itself well to those wanting to try out industries, the water front it entirely open for that, it has some lumber, some farming and some oil as well

I only have the base game and Mass Transit so only maps that are compatible with those please. I want to build a "quaint" city - no huge maps. I am not the best at the map editor which is why I am asking for recs.

Thanks.

ok so I've decided to try a bit of map making and am finding myself stumped with a couple of issues. I've got cimtographer working as well as image overlay. however I am really struggling to match the image to the terrain. I know i can rotate it via commands and all that but when i get the image set, cartographer doesn't output the roads anywhere like what the image is showing is there a potential step i am missing or is this something that more time will help me with. As frustrating as its been its been a great learning experience and makes me all the more appreciative of the work map makers put in to give us great city layouts.

New Map Sechelt, BC (updated link)

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1507260346

My first ever map I created with the help of Terrain Party is of my hometown of Sechelt, BC, Canada.

It has rivers and waterfalls and tries to be as accurate as possible to the actual terrain of the area.

I have used some artistic license with this map as Sechelt has no rail lines or a lot of mining. I think this will be an interesting map to play because it has one small ismis of land between the two waters.

*** EDIT *** I had issues with how to update the map so I accidentally made a second version. The current links are to the new version. ~ Update Sept, 15, 2018

Does anybody know of any maps that have some sort of starter template? I spend 90% if my time building roads and never build anything.

I'd like to experiment with a canal-heavy city, and Venice is the logical place to start. There are several dozen entries on the Workshop, but none that I can find have reviews or comments, and I've never been there, so I can't gauge their accuracy or applicability to the game mechanics.

I hadn't created a new one in a while. Here is a 1:1 scale map for Bermuda!

It was a lot of fun to create. I remain open to feedback :)

This is the first map I've made. It is a work in progress, so I would appreciate any constructive feedback.

It is loosely based on Mount Mayon in the Phillipines. The volcano has been turned into a river that I am still working on.

So I've been having this problem for a while where when I export heightmaps into CS, all my contours look pixelated, and jagged. I think I may be not exporting it correctly, or something.

I'm using Photoshop CC 2018, if that's any help.
