Hugs and kisses all around. Nice!!!
It ain't even close to perfect, but all who helped move this forward with the interests of working people in mind deserve credit today. It was hard lifting and they got it done.
Also, I feel more warmly toward Nancy Pelosi than I ever have.
She's such a groupie. She and Kathleen Sebelius hanging on the President like barnacles. Shameless hussies.
Of course, my opinion may be skewed by the fact that I think maybe I love him a little.
:( Hey stfu, I'd like to see you resist that smile!
Maybe it's a dumb question, but why the hell did he have to use 40 pens for that?
I was also wondering about that... I have no idea!

That's what I figured it was, but does anyone know what he all had to write on the thing? What more than a signature does this bill need?
Any idea who that kid was? I missed a bit in the middle, maybe he explained it.
It's very absorbent paper. Each of those pens is empty when he changes up.
Gifts for people who wanted to say, "I have the pen the healthcare bill was signed with!".
Wait, what? It just passed the house and the senate has already approved it? How did I miss this?
If I remember correctly, the house was voting on the senate bill that the senate already approved of late last year.
That can't be right - there wouldn't have been all this talk about the fillibuster and reconciliation if the senate didn't have their own upcoming vote on the topic.
Obama signed the original bill passed by the Senate. The fixes are going back through the Senate as a reconciliation measure.
The fix is supposed to take out the Louisiana Purchase, the Cornhusker deal, and some other payoffs in addition to making some other changes. (I'm going to guess that Landrieu and Nelson won't be voting for it.)
