Probably because they won't pay enough for a real webmaster that can code to normal web standards. This is what you get when you cheap out on your technical back end. Any webmaster that's worth their salt understands that ie(*) is total and utter garbage and tries their very hardest NOT to pander to the idiots that still use it... With the only exception of NEEDING to have it for work - I'm required to have ie7 for a few things, so I can relate. Other than that, there is no excuse. Especially being that it's not even supported for most platforms anymore and should be considered deadware by the technically savvy. It's done for good on all platforms on Jul 13 2010. Good riddance.
