GW will be having a charity stream in January, and each of the locals that lived in Paradise who lost their armies in the fires will be sent a new one. Super awesome of GW.

Just picked it up! But I'm warning you... if using this color doesn't dramatically improve the quality of my painting, I'm LEAVING THIS GAME FOREVER!

Just remember in a year or so to look back at the first model you painted and then look to the newest one. :)

I mean, it can't literally be slave labour, right?

reads article

The latest of these policies is the so-called "slave labour law," which allows employers to force workers to work up to 400 hours of overtime per year, and to defer payment for this overtime by three years.

400 hours? That's more than an hour of overtime a day, including weekends. This would be bad at any number of hours, but 400??

And they don't have to pay you for it until 3 years pass, assuming the company still exists in 3 years.

"Did Donald Trump know that Michael Cohen was pursuing the Trump Tower in Moscow into the summer of 2016?"

Rudy Giuliani: "According to the answer that he gave, it would have covered all the way up to ... November of 2016"

Yes, Rudy is bad at his job, but that is not what is going on here. They are ripping off the bandaid. Donald Trump was briefed on Russia's activities, including attempts to infiltrate his campaign, in August of 2016

This is a bombshell. Previously, we only knew he was discussing a deal as the presumptive nominee, in June, before the FBI briefed him. Now we know he was attempting to secure a building deal worth more than the previous 20 years of Trump Org building combined directly with the fucking Kremlin, whom he knew were interfering in our election.

I know I would be very curious to see Trump's SF86 form...

President and Vice President don’t need an SF86. The election itself is considered adequate vetting. Hopefully this changes.

They might have needed to fill one out during the campaign before the election.

Gulen should consider moving to Canada in the very near future.

Gorsuch and Kavanaugh both replaced Justices that opposed the ACA. The 5 justices who preserved the ACA last time are still there.

On top of that, some of the conservatives on the Supreme Court may not want to uphold a lower court judge countermanding the SCOTUS' previous ruling. It would set an extremely bad precedent.

We’re constantly changing and evolving not only our video game purchases, but how we support and contribute to those game purchases. This evolution is vital to our ability to continue doing what we love to do—buying great games—and it’s what makes a video game consumer a consumer.

Over the past several years, the work of evaluating Blizzard purchases and seeing poor decisions from a previously stalwart company has led to new games and other products that we’re proud to have purchased. These are games such as Path of Exile, DotA 2, and even donations to private servers like Nostalrius. We now have more non-Blizzard, high-quality options than at any point in video gaming history. We’re also at a point where we need to take some of our hard-earned dollars and bring their marketplace power to other developers. As a result, we’ve made the difficult decision to shift some of our money from Activision Blizzard to other companies, and we’re excited to see the passion, knowledge, and experience that they’ll bring to us and even eSports professionals who depend on them for their livelihood (and I know we're thinking about all of them and their families right now before Christmas). This isn’t the first time we’ve had to make tough choices like this. Games like Fallout 76, Star Wars Battlefront 2, Dungeon Keeper Mobile, SimCity 2013, and more would have been highly profitable had we not made similar decisions in the past.

Despite the change in Blizzard's direction, Heroes of the Storm remained a love letter that linked us to a time when Blizzard made consumer-centric decisions based around quality and commitment, rather than shitty mobile rip offs for Chinese markets. We’ll continue actively supporting Heroes of the Storm with playtime, reminiscing, and a cadence that our community loves, though our feelings toward you as company and your games will change. Ultimately, we’re setting up our nostalgia for long-term sustainability. We’re so grateful for the support your company has shown from the beginning, and our fond memories will continue to support the legend of Blizzard past with the same passion, dedication, and creativity that your former employees shared with us in making the old Blizzard so great.

We’ve also evaluated our plans around future Blizzard games—after looking at all of our priorities and options in light of the change in how you support games long-term, the Blizzard consumers and Blizzard fans will not return in 2019. This was another very difficult decision for us to make. The love that the community has for these IPs is deeply felt by everyone who waits on them, but we ultimately feel this is the right decision versus moving forward in a way that would not meet the standards that players and fans have come to expect... i.e. your shitty mobile game plan and predatory kiddie-gambling strategies rather than the quality and commitment we expect, as well as crappy expansions with little communication with your communities, killing profitable games that aren't profitable enough, etc, etc.

While we don’t make these decisions lightly, we do look to the future excited about what the decisions will mean for our other game developers and all the projects they have in the works. We appreciate all of those old Blizzard games and everyone who worked on them in old Blizzard, and look forward to sharing many more epic gaming experiences made by other companies that were inspired by your old values and old talent.

Good luck with your stock and your eSports,

Blizzard Consumers and Blizzard Fans

TLDR: This is a parody post of Blizzard's announcement from their President that they would be gutting the HotS development team and had minutes ago fired all of their eSports personnel a little over one week before Christmas... after assuring them the league would be bigger and better in 2019. The original post was sickening PR drivel that tried to mask just how bad a thing they were doing .

Update 12/15/18 8:52 PM EST: With this post becoming multi-plat, multi-gold, and multi-silver, I just want to say one more thank you to this community. Every voice matters, and many voices are coming together.

Update 12/15/18 9:33 PM EST: While I am grateful that many of you have cross posted this thread to the other Blizzard subreddits, we know that they are being deleted on many, if not all of those. To avoid having this thread shut down or deleted, let's put all our energy behind this thread here rather than sneaking it into other subreddits (other than the Hearthstone subreddit which currently has it on their front page).

Update 12/16/18 12:20 AM EST: This thread is now trending on r/all . As this might be the last time a Heroes of the Storm thread makes it there, it's been a pleasure. I hope Blizzard understands the reaction to their change in strategies. 2:34 PM EST: Now also on r/bestof and r/hearthstone .

Update 12/16/18 10:08 AM EST: Thank you all for making this thread the NUMBER 1 upvoted and awarded thread in the history of Heroes of the Storm.

It's the highest upvoted HOTS post of all time with 25 silvers, 29 golds, and 18 platinums. I think it's safe to say he speaks for a large segment of the HOTS community.

13 points · 1 day ago

I prefer HoTs to LoL because there's a metric ton less toxicity in the player base. Maybe it's because of the vs ai feature? Maybe it's because I enjoy the ai games and a lot of the toxicity is around pvp. All I know is the maturity level of hots players is far greater than that of lol or dota.

My gut says a lot of the reduced toxicity is from the much lower average match length.

It'd be amusing if MS and Sony slipped a patch in that would cause the OS to not play non-review copies of the game until release.

First, I really don't think PDP wants to draw more attention to his repeated instances of antisemitism.

Second, if the entities who hurt PDP's feelings are in the US, he must sue them in the US courts as we do not recognize UK defamation judgments.

Third, in the US opinions are protected. For example, if I express my opinion that PDP is antisemitic because he repeatedly dog whistles to that crowd, it is not defamation because it is my opinion.

Fourth, truth is the ultimate defense against defamation of character, and in the US most will be inclined to believe someone who (among other things) paid for a 'Death to Jews' banner, drops the n-word, and endorses the YT channel of an actual Neo-Nazi is a bigot.

Fifth, how many more chances are you seriously going to give PDP at this point?

Original Poster1 point · 1 day ago

I understand all the things with te banner and the n word, but can you tell me which channel you mean by Neo-nazi?

Ah, Europe. Supposidely PP is building a new European distribution center to try and get around all the import taxes but I don't think anything official has been announced.

The gameplay itself is better than ever, so damn fun. Some of the old guard really disliked themes but I personally prefer them.

Actually to be fair I did talk bad about themes at first too but...well I was being an internet shit head. Actually playing with and against themes I love them now. I see a much wider variety of models on the table than in the past (note that I'm not a tournament player).

I see a much wider variety of models on the table than in the past

That's one of the biggest positive of themes. Privateer no longer has to worry about how to make New Model X be a compelling choice over every other model in the faction which tends to lead into a power creep situation. They only have to make sure it has a place within a much smaller selection of models.

There was a decline after the edition change, but things have started to pick back up again. Some local metas did not fully recover, some flourished.

From a game state, it's nearly universally agreed the game is in its most balanced state and from a competitive play stand point it is still leagues ahead of 40k and Age of Sigmar. And in 2019 there'll be a narrative league to determine the fate of Llael and some of the characters involved in that conflict. Were you looking at Cryx and Grymkin, or are there other factions that caught your eye?

I remember reading the blu ray will be an extended cut.

For Alexsa Foster, who says she served seven years in the U.S. Army, the arrest of her husband has been devastating. Because she is disabled, the lawn maintenance service business her husband runs is the main source of income for her and their four children, who range in age from 9 to 2. She is struggling to explain to her children what happened to their father.

The guy was fined for weed possession years ago, and now ICE all of a sudden wants to revoke his green card. Most of us agree that pot should be legal anyway. Is this really where we want our taxpayer money going? What benefit does breaking up this family give to the US?

I don't think it is ICE. I bet there are more than a few ICE agents that think this case is stupid. They have to follow the rules they are given from on high or lose their jobs.

I am probably more pro enforcement than most editors, but I think this is overboard. First, I think pot should be legal and any old convictions should be vacated if pot is the charge. If you committed other crimes outside of just pot, then you did those things and have to pay for them. If the article is accurate, then deporting this guy makes no sense to me.
